Hazardous Locations Described
Ice Qube has been manufacturing Hazardous Location Air Conditioners since 2003 and today we offer a full line of products for Class I Division 2, Zone 2, and Zone 1 locations.
Class I Division 2
Class I Division 2 is an area where explosive gases, vapors or liquids are not present under normal operating conditions. In a Class I Division 2 area the gas, vapor or liquids are only present under abnormal or unlikely conditions (a leak). Class I Division 2 Certifications that Ice Qube provides for our customers include: UL, and EAC.
Zone 2
Zone 2 is an area where explosive gases, vapors or liquids are not present under normal operating conditions. In a Zone 2 area the gas, vapor or liquids are only present under abnormal or unlikely conditions (a leak). In a Zone 2 area, unwanted substances can only be present under 10 hours/year or 0-0.1% of the time to be considered a Zone 2 location. Zone 2 Certifications that Ice Qube provides for our customers include: ATEX, IEXEx, and EAC.
Zone 1
Zone 1 is an area where explosive gases, vapors or liquids are likely to exist under normal operating conditions. In a Zone 1 area, unwanted gases, vapors, or liquids can be present 10-1000 hours/year or 0.1-10% of the time. Zone 1 Certifications that Ice Qube provides for our customers include: ATEX, IECEx, and EAC.
Certifications for Hazardous Locations
To ensure quality, safety, and peace of mind for our customers, Ice Qube has gone through an extensive process of certifying our products with third party Certifications. Ice Qube’s line of Hazardous Location Air Conditioners carry ATEX, IECEx, UL and EAC certifications for the respective Hazardous Locations of Class I Division 2, Zone 2, and Zone 1.
